Lime Tree Gallery/Alex Clark

Weardale is home to one of the UK’s most successful young artists, Alex Clark.

Alex works in her studio/gallery in Weardale. After receiving a degree with honours in the Biology of Plants and Animals at Newcastle University in 1996, Alex began producing limited edition prints of her work and exhibits at galleries throughout the UK. She has a very successful range of greetings cards which are exported worldwide.

Lime Tree Gallery is based in Stanhope (5 minutes from Lyncroft) and sells a wide variety of watercolours, cards and other gifts. The Gallery is managed by Elaine.
